Our story begins in 1993 with the founding of Grosser & Co., a boutique accounting firm launched by Kurt Grosser after his tenure at Ernst & Young’s New York office. Kurt built the practice with a clear focus: helping clients make smart tax decisions and build long-term financial strategies, especially in real estate and small business. His reputation for insightful, personal service fueled decades of growth, built largely on referrals.
In 2013, Kurt’s son, Kurt Grantham, stepped into a leadership role, bringing fresh vision and a strong belief that the role of accountants must evolve. This generational transition marked a turning point, one that embraced innovation, deeper client relationships, and a commitment to strategic services beyond traditional compliance.
In time, that vision gave birth to Catalyst, a re-imagined firm designed to deliver accounting, tax, and advisory services with a distinctly modern approach. While we carry forward the legacy and expertise of Grosser & Co., Catalyst represents our bold next chapter. We integrate the structure and rigor of a CPA firm with the agility of a forward-thinking consultancy.
